West Midlands Regional PB Seminar

We are holding the second of our regional seminars in the West Midlands in association with Government Office West Midlands and the Regional Empowerment Consortium. Regional seminars are the perfect opportunity for all interested in PB to find out more about PB and what's going on in your area, whether that's local government officers, councillors, local residents, other statutory agencies or community groups.

The seminar is a 1 day event in a series of regional seminars to be held across the country.  This event will be held at the Government Offices West Midlands in Birmingham.  The event is supported by the Government Office and the Regional Empowerment Consortium.

The seminar will will promote the benefits of PB and how it fits with the government empowerment agenda and to give delegates a practical feel for how PB might be taken forward in their local areas.

Part of the agenda will be interactive and we hope to draw out delegates views of the opportunities and challenges around implementing PB locally.

We will cover:

  • Background to PB
  • Values, principles & standards
  • Central government and regional perspective
  • Empowerment agenda
  • Practical experience of how PB works
  • Challenges, risks and opportunities of PB

The event is free for all delegates, however registration is required for administration and catering purposes.  Please contact Jenny Lazarus on 0161 236 9321 or mail@participatorybudgeting.org.uk to book a place.
