Participatory Budgeting: The Why and the How

The PBU and LGIU have run a series of PB seminars at the LGIU offices in London.  This is the last in this series.  We are committed to running seminars next year, but the format or frequency may change.

This seminar is to raise awareness of PB and what it can offer to citizens, service providers and the local area.  We provide hands-on expertise to those introducing PB into their locality.

This seminar offers an opportunity for participants to hear directly from Richard Watkins of Communities and Local Government (CLG) about the role of PB in the Government agenda.  The PB Unit will provide an overview of PB and how it can be used and we will also hear from local authorities currently using PB in their area.  Participants will also have the opportunity to experience PB in practice through a simulation exercise.

Regional Seminars

We are working with Government Offices and Regional Empowerment Consortia to hold seminars in each of the GO regions.  As the seminar dates are fixed the information is added to the website.  If your region isn't listed, please check back on the site as it will be added.
