Link Trafford Hall
Trafford Hall near Chester runs very good training events for tenants and residents of social housing, community groups and other voluntary groups. Costs of courses are often very minimal (£10) and include accommodation, training and food. They run courses on PB on a regular basis.

The department for communities & local government are the central government champions of PB and part-fund the work of the PB Unit.
Link National Association for Voluntary and Community Action
NAVCA (the National Association for Voluntary and Community Action) is the national voice of local third sector infrastructure in England. Their website has lists of local and national voluntary and community groups and organisations in the UK.
Link National Neigbhourhood Management Network
A dissemination and good practice network for neighbourhood management practitioners. They run a number of training and sharing learning events across the country.
Link Sustainable Development Commission
The Sustainable Development Commission is the Government's independent watchdog on sustainable development, reporting to the Prime Minister, the First Ministers of Scotland and Wales and the First Minister and Deputy First Minister of Northern Ireland. Through advocacy, advice and appraisal, they help put sustainable development at the heart of Government policy.

Link International website on participatory budgeting
ParticipatoryBudgeting.org is a general resource site on participatory budgeting and other forms of participatory democracy. It was launched in March 2006. The site aims to collect and publicize information on participatory budgeting around the world in an accessible format.

The International Budget Project was formed in 1997 to nurture the growth of civil society capacity to analyze and influence government budget processes, institutions and outcomes. The IBP is interested particularly in working with those organizations that focus on the impact of the budget on poor and low-income people in developing countries or new democracies.

National PB Conference

The conference is being held at the prestigious Midland Hotel in Manchester and our keynote speaker is Rt. Hon. Hazel Blears MP.
