To meet new challenges and opportunities the PBU is becoming Participatory Budgeting UK (PBUK). We will be working collaboratively and engaging with partners and PBU friends throughout this transition period.

National PB evaluation published
Today, DCLG have published the final report following a 2.5 year evaluation into PB.
New series of PB masterclasses announced
The PB Unit are holding a series of masterclasses on timely and relevant topics - how to involve citizens in commissioning and shaping services and how to develop PB with neighbourhood budgeting - that are aimed at practitioners wanting to take PB to the next level.
Evaluation for Scottish community safety pilots published
The Scottish Government has now published the evaluation of the Scottish PB & Community Safety pilot scheme - Community Wellbeing Champions Initiative.
PB Toolkit for towns and parishes
Rural Action Yorkshire have produced a toolkit and DVD on implmementing PB in town and parish council areas. It draws on the work of several councils in Yorkshire and Humber.
Adur's council leader thinks PB is great for communities
Councillor Neil Parkin, the Leader of Adur District Council, has written a ringing endorsement of PB, following their first PB process in 2010.
Fife's young people learn about democracy
Glenrothes Youth Forum was launched in March and members are encouraging other young people to have a say and get involved in decision making.
