Resident voting in Newcastle

Jez writes about how young people can be very engaged in participatory approaches, particularly when some of the power is devolved to them through decision making on public budgets.  Jez feels its the perfect antidote to the current political situation of public dissolusionment with democracy in the face of the expenses scandal.

Get involved - read our blogs, comment, write to us, start a blog of your own!  The blog is a space to discuss the ideas and concepts that aren't fully formed, haven't yet become part of a plan or policy and your participation will lead you you influencing and being more involved in the process of ideas becoming plans and policies and actions.

The blog is one of a number of ways we are making our website more interactive.  We have also recently launched our online polls as well to find out your views on key issues and questions.  You can find the polls on our homepage.
