PB a part of Home Office Accelerated Neighbourhood Partnership Fund
The Home Office has announced an additional £2.5million to support the development of neighbourhood partnerships and PB is listed as one of the key actions to achieve partnership working.
The funding is targeted at those neighbourhoods that the Home Office considers require the most support in developing strong partnerships to improve public confidence and tackling anti social behaviour.
58 areas have been identified across 26 forces.
The funding needs to be spent by the end of the financial year on activities which will help visibly improve partnership working and public confidence. The plans also need to follow nine principles:
-
Strong local leadership
-
Clearly defined and agreed neighbourhoods
-
Shared and publicly agreed priorities
-
Shared information, feedback and communication processes
-
Multi-agency problem solving teams
-
Co-location, if possible
-
Evidence based deployment
-
Joint engagement
-
Nominated neighbourhood lead
The policing green paper, and subsequent white paper, identified PB as good way of strengthening neighbourhood partnerships and fits well with the nine principles.
Any neighbourhoods in receipt of the funding, looking to implement PB as part of the plan are more than welcome to contact us for any advice or support. We are here to help. Our website also has lots of information and the new toolkit section can be used to search for police specific resources.
For more information on the fund and which areas have received a share of the funding, please contact the Home Office directly.
