PBU delivers South West seminar

Over 40 people participated in the PBU, Government Office South West and Regional Empowerment Partnership seminar on PB in Taunton this week.

Given that the South West is largely rural with some fairly inaccessible places, we were pleased to have a good turn out at the South West seminar in Taunton this week.

The seminar was supported by the Government Office and Regional Empowerment Partnership for the region and sponsored by the Regional Improvement and Effficiency partnership - which if nothing else, demonstrates good partnership working in the area!

Participants said it was "most illuminating and enjoyable", that there was "good networking", and the day was "very useful, thank you".

Part of the success was due to the excellent facilities and lunch provided by Taunton Conference Centre, which were quite unexpected but very welcome.

We will now continue to develop the partnership and set up a regional learning set to capture and share the learning in the region - which over the coming months could be quite significant with Salisbury, Cornwall, Somerset, East Devon and Dulverton all doing or planning PB.  Other areas such as Bristol have also expressed some interest.
