Would you like some funding to develop e-PB?
The European Union Commission has launched a call for applications for their ICT workplan under the objective 'eParticipation, empower and involve citizens in transparent decision-making in the EU'.
The EU Commission have earmarked 7 million euros for this particular objective. So there is clearly an opportunity for a local public sector organisation to apply for funding to seed fund a pilot project on electronic participatory budgeting.
They are looking for projects which could demonstrate the following outcomes:
-
High level of maturity in the use of ICTs in transparent, participatory and accountable decision-making.
-
Demonstrated improvements in policy and decision-making
-
Enhanced citizens' capacity to participate in EU policy and decision-making through wide scale collaboration across the EU.
The closing date for applications is 23rd September, and if you're quick, there's an information day in Brussels on 1st July.
If you are interested in applying for the fund, we (PBU) would be more than happy to support your application and your project (should it be successful). Please do get in touch.
