It's often been said money is power. Every year thousands of pounds worth of public money is spent in your name and on your behalf. If you are not involved when your money is spent, then how do you know it will be spent the way you want it to be?

Different PB Processes

Participatory Budgeting can be applied to many different contexts where priorities have to be made and budgets set in the allocation of public funds. Most, but not all, of the PB initiatives in the UK to date have been applied to the allocation of small grants.
