Your Local Budget Launch

09:00 - 10:00 (registration & breakfast will open at 08:30)

NESTA, 1 Plough Place, London, EC4A 1DE

Join speakers: Paul Twivy – CEO Big Society Network, Philip Colligan – NESTA,  Shazia Hussain – Project Director, Tower Hamlets Council and Councillor David Burbage leader of Windsor and Maidenhead Council for a breakfast launch of Your Local Budget.
Your Local Budget will learn from pioneering Local Authorities as they use Participatory Budgeting to involve local people in future spending decisions.

Please join us at the programme launch to discuss how Participatory Budgeting can be used to involve people more actively in decisions over public spending, and in generating different, more effective ways of meeting local needs in a time of constraint.

Hear from Local Authority speakers about how they are applying participatory budgeting to some of the more complex issues facing councils today.

Your Local Budget is a programme developed by NESTA and the Big Society Network.  Additional support is provided by the Participatory Budgeting Unit and Communities and Local Government Department.
